The tower I made is the lighthouse of Genoa, a city with a great history that also is the biggest seaport on Mediterranean sea. The current structure, that is still now used, was built in 1543, even if the first tower was built in XII century. On its southern wall you can see the flag of the city (there's also an interesting and true story about it, I'll write it after). As you can see, I only made the tower, without the buildings and the walls on the same hill. Night lighting and Maxis beacon light included. DEscriptION: 1x1; plop cost: 40000§; monthly cost: 150§ DEPENDENCIES: No dependencies. TRUE STORY: In Medieval times, Genoa was one of the richest and strongest seaports. In those times the city allowed its friends and partners to adopt its flag for money, so they could have for their ships the protection of the powerful Genoese fleet. In fact, in 1190 England and the city of London adopted the same flag for their ships that entered the Mediterranean sea, and after it became the national flag. |
